About Hilton Tokyo

Centrally located in the Shinjuku skyscraper district overlooking Shinjuku Park, the facility boasts an architecturally interesting and unusual S-shaped design. Towering 38-stories and minutes from the heart of Tokyo’s business and entertainments areas, this 815 room luxury hotel can meet all your needs for accommodation, recreation and relaxation, fine and casual dining and of course, banqueting! According to Momoko Gonohe, in Cluster Marketing Communications, our rooms “…combine the very best in western design with unique Japanese touches such as shoji, yukata robes and slippers.” With international direct dial telephone, as well as high-speed internet access, and large flat screen LCT TV with English channels and multi-lingual broadcasts you can think of your room at the Hilton Tokyo as a luxurious home-away from home.

Hilton Tokyo and the Tyler Foundation

Hilton Tokyo was the wonderful venue for the Tyler Foundation Mystery a la carte fundraiser in 2008. Venue alone is not the full extent of the Hilton Tokyo support of the Tyler Foundation! Mark Ferris noted, “Hilton Tokyo has been a strong supporter for many years. They were gracious hosts of our Mystery a la Carte event in 2008 and ‘went the extra mile’ to accommodate our various requests. One of our themes was food and they put on an extraordinarily good meal using their own top quality chefs and other celebrity chefs.”

Not only is the Hilton Tokyo a great place to rest your head, but it is a wonderful community partner! Gonohe remarked that “Hilton Tokyo has been a sponsor for about three years. As a company, we feel responsible to look after less fortunate people and actively supporting OR holding various domestic/international charity events and hosting organizations. We value the partnership with Tyler Foundation and feel privileged to be associated with them.” The Tyler Foundation is privileged as well, for the community spirit extends beyond the Hilton Tokyo. Mark told us, “We have also been supported by their [Hilton Tokyo] ‘sister’ brand, Conrad, thanks to an introduction from Christian Baudat, General Manager at the Hilton Tokyo.”

In addition to providing the venue for our 2008 fundraiser, we were honored to have had the participation of Chef Stephane Gaborieau, winner of the prestigious, Meilleur Ouvrier de France” or MOF (Best Crafts worker of France) and director of the renowned Hilton Tokyo restaurant La Pergolese. La Pergolese is a contemporary dining room offering authentic French cuisine and an extensive range of premier wines. We were thrilled that Chef Gaborieau created a special culinary delight for our Mystery a la carte event at the Hilton Tokyo!

Yet, that’s not all the Hilton Tokyo does for the Tyler Foundation! Gonohe said, “We usually support Tyler Foundation by offering door prizes for their events.” Mark said, “One of the benefits of working with a group as extensive as Hilton is that they have multiple properties and we have enjoyed prize donations from many of their hotels in an out of Japan.” Gonohe went on to say, “Also when they held their event at the Hilton Tokyo, we supported by offering special conditions. Tyler Foundation is a trust-worthy organization defending a very important cause. It is run by people who are genuine, honest, dedicated and professional. The funds collected are managed professionally and we are very confident working with them.”

In addition to the Tyler Foundation, Hilton Tokyo works closely with other organizations, reviewing requests for assistance very positively. It’s appropriate that at this, the holiday season, we share that for the past 10 years they hold a Christmas Charity party for children in orphanages in Japan. Clearly, children are near and dear to their hearts as they are to ours. So, thanks to Hilton Tokyo! We are happy to shine the holiday lights on our December Sponsor!
