Anyone can participate. Everyone can give. Together we can make the fight a little easier.

Team Beads of Courage is a unique opportunity for supporters to directly give their strength, encouragement and support to a child fighting cancer or other serious illness in hospital. Share and connect your story and celebrate life. By choosing to participate, you are honoring a child’s courage in their fight and giving them hope that they are not alone. Choose to share your life’s journeys; whether it is a new year’s resolution, a life change or a 5k run.

How does it work?
Participants are given a pair of beads to carry with them on their journey. At the end of your journey, you return one bead and a note of encouragement. It is then given to a child in our Beads of Courage Program®when they are in need of extra boost of courage. During a child’s 9 to 12 month hospital stay, they are usually only given one or two of these beads.

Team Beads of Courage vs Beads of Courage®
Beads of Courage®is a program implemented in the hospitals for kids undergoing treatment for cancer or other serious illnesses. Team Beads of Courage is a way for supporters to directly participate and give support. The beads are what unite the two.

Beads of Courage®
Through the program, children tell their story using colorful beads as meaningful symbols of courage that commemorate milestones they have achieved along their unique treatment path. On average, a child will receive around 900 beads during the course of their treatment. Learn more
