Sakura and Sake Event
Shine On! Kids is thrilled to announce that we raised over 8.6 million yen at our Sakura and Sake Charity Event on April 7 at the International House Japan.
This was a small, elegant evening showcasing the delicious sake of Dewazakura and exquisite music – including the joyful live music debut of cancer survivor Gen Inoue who stole the show!
Thank you again to Sake Samurai Rie Seno for inspiring this event, to all of our amazing sponsors and to the generous donors for making the evening a success! In particular, Akari Nakano from Dewazakura and Julia Longbottom the British Ambassador to Japan for supporting us at the event.
Special thanks to our performers Gen Inoue, Dr. Machida, Yoko Ara, Kanon, and StuartO for helping us create an amazing evening.
Fighting for Fighters
On April 22, Shine On! Kids hosted our Fighters Meet Fighters event at the Tokyo American Club.
This pre-event to the lead up of Executive Fight Night XI brings together men and women who are training and the Shine On! Kids program participants. Not only does this help the boxers truly understand what they are fighting for but also gives the children an opportunity to have some fun and meet people who are supporting them. Due to Covid, we had to cancel or host the events virtually for the past 3 years so it was with great excitement that we were able to bring it back this year.
Executive Fight Night XI is on May 26 at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo in Roppongi.
Only a few tables remain, get your ticket now before the event sells out!
Thank You United
It’s been nearly 4 years since our long-term, loyal partner, United Airlines, has had the opportunity to partner with us at one of our fundraising events.
Thank you, United Airlines for reviving this wonderful tradition at our recent Sakura and Sake Charity Dinner.
